Burg Falkenstein stands proudly as a medieval fortress nestled in the enchanting Austrian Alps of Carinthia. Constructed during the 12th century, this magnificent castle boasts a storied past, having served as both a strategic stronghold and an opulent residence for noble families across generations.

Perched atop a steep hill, Burg Falkenstein offers a commanding vantage point overlooking the charming town of Falkenstein, treating visitors to breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains and picturesque countryside. Its architectural marvels showcase a captivating fusion of Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance elements, capturing the essence of bygone eras.

This magnificent structure is a feat of expert bricklaying, consisting of over 21,000 individual pieces. Its construction employs advanced techniques such as the use of stained glass windows and a vertical arrangement of bricks, as well as large sections of the building that are displaced by half a brick in relation to each other.

Measuring 87 cm in height and occupying two 48x48 base plates, this complex build is not recommended for inexperienced builders. The final product is a stunning replica of a Gothic cathedral, complete with interior features such as benches, a sacristy, and a confessional. Every detail has been meticulously crafted to ensure that this build captures the essence of the original architectural style.
